NASM CPT, PPSC and PN Level 1 Nutrition Coach, Lexi is the owner of PURPOSE Coaching. PURPOSE is dedicated to helping individuals live with intention, optimize their health, and integrate purposeful movement into their daily lives.  Lexi is influenced by her background in dance and has a passion for helping people take action on their health and wellness. Lexi works well with those who are both new to and experienced in strength training, those who are interested in a holistic and collaborative coaching approach, and who are looking for guidance on nutrition and lifestyle factors that contribute to whole health.

Patrick Lawler (he/him)Patrick has a Bachelors in Exercise Science from USC. Since 2013, he has been a Certified Personal Trainer through The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and training in the Richmond area. In 2015, Patrick was voted a “Top Trainer” in Richmond Magazine. He has trained several high school athletes who have moved on to the college level including UVA and Virginia Tech. Losing weight, building strength, competing or feeling better, attaining your goals requires change and new skills. Patrick Lawler (he/him)

Patrick’s love of exercise propelled him into personal training, but the relationships he forms with clients fuels him. With a degree in Exercise Science from USC and a certification through the American College of Sports Medicine, Patrick is well-equipped to help you be the best version of yourself in and out of the gym. He understands what it’s like to fine-tune your strengths and be a beginner (ask him about learning gymnastics). So whether you want to perfect your deadlifts, build your cardio or feel more comfortable in the gym, he’ll discover the changes you need to make and the skills to maintain them.

JP Redmond (he/him)

JP grew up as a tri-sport athlete and went on to focus on collegiate football. He has a background in bodybuilding, athletic training, and strength training. JP comes from a successful corporate career in which he enjoyed mentoring others while they worked to unlock their full potential. He realized he could apply that same joy to his true passion - fitness. He then went on to become an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and Group Exercise Instructor. He is currently in the process of becoming a Precision Nutrition Certified Nutrition Coach as well. JP’s goal is to help clients live a healthier, fun life while still thriving in their workplace.

Shannon Kroke (she/her)

A tale as old as time: Shannon started her exercise journey with the desire to be "skinny," and instead found her passion for strength training, movement, and deep appreciation for the human body. Shannon received her Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Austin Peay State University and has been a personal trainer and group fitness coach for 6 years. She also has certification in Crossfit L-1, USAW, and NASM. Shannon takes pride in her merit knowing that she has the power to help others change their lives through fitness, too.

Ebony Jones is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with a background in dance and strength training. Her journey in fitness has been defined by a passion for helping individuals transform their lives. Ebony’s dedication to the world of fitness is not just professional but deeply personal.

Andrew Maitland (he/him)

Andrew comes from a corporate background working a typical 9-5 office job as an accountant. After the daily grind began impacting his health and quality of life, Andrew leaned into the joy and purpose he felt in the fitness community. He now strives to help others find the same on their own fitness journey as a NASM CPT.

Andrew has previous experience as a tumbling coach and with rehabbing his own personal injuries. He is passionate about using the body’s self-healing capabilities to help clients overcome injuries, imbalances, and other setbacks.

Katt Dunn (she/her)

Kat is a NASM certified personal trainer and Health Coach.

She specializes in helping her clients gain the mobility and functional strength needed to perform the activities they love. Kat recognizes and appreciates that everyone has different needs in and out of the gym; there is no “one size fits all” and she enjoys tailoring programs to fit the individual needs of her clients.

Additionally, Kat has experience working with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Osteoporosis, Arthritis, Post Rehab, and Chronic pain.

A martial artist and athlete for most of his life, Will began focusing on coaching as an outlet while sidelined by injuries sustained in competition. Still an active competitor and coach, he is furthering his knowledge by working towards becoming a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist. With years of experience behind the bar and as security, Will understands the importance of training to improve performance for competition, as well as active lifestyles and professions.

Zach Birnbaum (They/Them)

Zach has a bachelors of science in Health Promotion from Ithaca College and over a decade of experience as a NASM certified Personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist. With a strong focus on pain free movement Zach helps folks develop attainable personal health and fitness goals. Drawing from their personal experience as a triathlete, powerlifter and kettlebell sport enthusiast, Zach designs highly personalized workout programs for people of all fitness levels. As someone who works in the service industry they understand the importance of moving pain free especially when work demands mobility and standing all day. When not training clients Zach works at The Canal Club as a sound engineer mixing live bands.

Rachel Pelletier (she/her)

Rachel is a Richmond native and a graduate of The University of Richmond. She received her Masters degree in Teaching and began a career in education. Taking a slight pivot later in life, she decided to combine her teaching skills with her passion for sports and fitness.

Rachel is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, NASM Senior Fitness Specialist and holds certifications in TRX and kettlebell training. With over 15 years of training experience, Rachel understands the importance of functional movement and proper form. She prides herself in creating personalizing fitness programs to meet individual needs. In her spare time, you can find Rachel cheering for her favorite college and professional sports teams.

Hi! We are Joanna and Niesha, and we run Abs & Avocados.  We started something at the end of 2019 where we just wanted to share our real experiences as moms, who were trying to get fit in a Crossfit gym. What we want for you is to feel happy in your own bodies, no matter what that looks like. With experience in both personal training and nutrition coaching, we can do just that. We don’t want to change you, we just want to help you feel better about yourself and about your health. Niesha is certified personal trainer and weightlifting coach, and Joanna is Precision Nutrition certified as well as a Crossfit Level 1 trainer.

Dell is a NASM CPT, who also served in the United States Army for 6 years. Dell graduated from VCU with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science in 2021. Dell is a strength and conditioning focused coach but also has experience in helping people reach their powerlifting goals and generalized fitness goals. Dell currently has a new found love for calisthenics that he has been indulging in for the last 2 years.

Charles Austin (he/him)

Charles received his Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from VCU in 2016, and since graduating has been certified as an Exercise Physiologist through the ACSM, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator through the NSCA. His passion for fitness and health has led him to work with a wide range of clients of different ages, abilities, and levels of experience. From seniors with vertebral fusions, to young athletes looking to improve their performance, or working to help clients with their overall weight loss and fitness goals, Charles’ goal is to blend his knowledge and passion for fitness to help others achieve their goals to lead a healthy, active life.

Kirsten Chaney (she/her)

Kirsten is a NASM-CPT with a health coaching certification through Duke University and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Health and Wellness Management at Tulane University.

She strongly believes in the impact of work/life balance and making time for physical activity - something is better than nothing!

While she loves a balls-to-the-wall circuit style workout, she has learned to appreciate activities such as swimming and stretching. Health looks different for everyone, but it is still FOR everyone!

Dr. Mallory Seal (she/her)

Dr. Mallory is the Owner and Lead Therapist of Restore Physical Therapy, PT, DPT, Certified of Dry Needling, PCES.

Dr. Mallory's interests are orthopedics, sports medicine, manual therapy, prenatal and postpartum external women's health, and corrective exercise. Her goal is to be your primary care choice for musculoskeletal injury.
